SACRED HEART DIAMOND CREEK
RESEARCH & INNOVATION
The Sacred Heart Difference

RESEARCH & INNOVATION HUB
At Sacred Heart, research and innovation is embedded as who we are as a learning community.
We are proud to be recognised across Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) and beyond for our leadership in contemporary pedagogy, evidence-based practice and whole-school improvement.
Our Research & Innovation Hub showcases the work of our staff, highlights our partnerships with educational organisations, and shares the practical insights that shape our classrooms every day. It is a space where educators can learn, collaborate and be inspired by the work at Sacred Heart.

SCHOOL INNOVATION
At Sacred Heart, innovation and evidence-based practice are at the heart of our teaching and learning.
Our Innovation Leader, Mrs Sandy Morgan, plays a pivotal role in leading contemporary initiatives that enhance educational outcomes for all students and staff to deliver their best.
Sandy’s work is closely aligned with MACS strategic priorities and the school’s commitment to excellence. She oversees the implementation of key initiatives, including the Vision for Instruction, Vision for Engagement, and the development of whole-school approaches such as Team Teach and positive behaviour frameworks.
These programs are embedded across the school, shaping our teaching culture, improving student engagement, and ensuring every child receives a high-quality, evidence-based education.
Through this work, Sacred Heart continues to be recognised as a destination for innovation and professional learning in action, inspiring both our staff and the wider education community.
We are proud to share the outcomes of these initiatives, which continue to inspire excellence across our classrooms and the wider education community.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION HUB
Sacred Heart is committed to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
Our Research & Innovation Hub serves as a unified place for all the research, practice and professional learning happening across our school - a living library that showcases the impact of our innovative approaches.
Here, you will find insights into action research projects, professional learning reflections, and stories of classroom innovations. Our staff share updates on professional development experiences, the implementation of whole-school initiatives such as Team Teach, Vision for Instruction, and Positive Behaviour for Learning, as well as case studies and collaborations with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) and other educational partners.
Every contribution - whether from our Innovation Leader, Mrs Sandy Morgan, or from our teaching and non-teaching staff - highlights how evidence-based practice and reflective learning translate into improved outcomes for every student.
This is a space where ideas are shared, successes are celebrated, and the broader education community can see the tangible impact of our commitment to research, innovation, and professional growth.
